What you get

Web. The game and everything on this site are free to play and free to read. There is no account, no purchase, and nothing to subscribe to on the web.

App. The game is free to download and play. It shows ads between games, and you can buy optional items that remove the ads or add card sets (see In-app purchases below). There is no account, and nothing in the app is a subscription.

We may change or stop any part of the game at any time. Progress stored in your browser (web) or on your device (app) can be lost if you clear your browser data, delete the app, or if we change how the game saves.

Fair use

Play it as a person plays a game. On the web, do not run automated clients against the online match server and do not try to break the rules through the network layer. Do not use the site to attack or overload the services it runs on, do not tamper with the app, and do not try to get paid items without paying for them. We may block access that does any of these. The app plays against the computer only and does not use the online match server.

Ads

The site shows ads from Google AdSense and the app shows ads from Google AdMob; that is how the game pays for itself. We do not control which ads appear and we do not endorse them. What advertisers collect is covered on our privacy page.

Web: coins earned in the game, including from rewarded ads, have no cash value and cannot be bought, sold or exchanged. App: the app has no coins and no rewarded ads. In the app, the Remove ads item (below) stops the ads shown between games.

In-app purchases (app only)

The iPhone and Android app sells the items below through the App Store or Google Play. The web version sells nothing.

• Prices. The table shows prices in Korean won. In other countries the store sets the price in local currency and shows it before you pay; that price is the one that applies to you.
• One-time purchases. You buy each item once and keep it. Nothing renews and nothing is charged again. Items are used in the app's play against the computer and do not carry over to the web version.
• Restore purchases. If you reinstall the app or move to a new phone, sign in to the same Apple or Google account you paid with and tap "Restore purchases" on the Card Sets screen or in Settings. The store tells the app what you bought. We keep no record of purchases, so we cannot restore them for you.
• Payment. Apple or Google takes the payment under its own terms. We never receive or store your card or other payment details.
• Changes. A change to prices or to what is sold applies to future purchases only.

Withdrawal and refunds (청약철회·환불)

The items are digital content, delivered in the app as soon as the payment goes through. Under Korea's Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content can be restricted once delivery has begun. We tell you this beforehand, near the purchase buttons in the app (the Card Sets screen and Settings), and we let you try card sets first: a card set you do not own can be used in practice mode (the "Try in practice" button on the Card Sets screen).

Where the law allows withdrawal, you can withdraw within the period the law sets. For example, Remove ads cannot be tried first, so it can be withdrawn within 7 days of receiving it, and so can a starter pack, which includes Remove ads. An item that was not delivered or differs from what was described when you bought it can be withdrawn within 3 months of receiving it, or within 30 days of when you found out or could have found out. Nothing here limits the rights you have under that law.

Where withdrawal is allowed, ask for the refund in the store where you paid: on iPhone, Apple's "Report a Problem" (reportaproblem.apple.com); on Android, the refund request in Google Play. If the store declines, email us what happened and we will tell you how we handle it.

Purchases by minors

If a minor (under 19 in Korea) buys an item without the consent of a parent or other legal guardian, the minor or the guardian can cancel the purchase under Korea's Civil Act. To cancel, ask the store where you paid for a refund as described above, or email us and we will tell you how we handle it. A purchase cannot be cancelled this way if it was made with money the guardian allowed the minor to spend within set limits (such as pocket money), or if the minor used deception to make others believe they were an adult or had the guardian's consent.

What we do not promise

The site and the app are provided as they are. We do not promise they will be available at any given moment, that online matches on the web will always find an opponent, or that stored progress will survive. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from using the site or the app. This does not limit rights you have under consumer protection law.

What belongs to whom

The game, its rules text, its artwork and this site's writing belong to the operator below. Rock paper scissors itself is a folk game and belongs to nobody. The five-throw variant described on our Lizard Spock page was devised by Sam Kass with Karen Bryla; we explain the rules and do not claim them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. A dispute is heard by the court that has jurisdiction under the applicable laws (the Civil Procedure Act and the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce).

이용약관 (한국어)

가위바위보 전쟁(Rock Paper Scissors War)은 웹과 iPhone·Android 앱에서 즐기는 게임입니다. 웹 버전은 무료이며 판매하는 것이 없습니다. 앱은 무료로 내려받을 수 있고, 광고가 나오며, 선택해서 구매할 수 있는 항목을 일부 판매합니다. 어느 쪽이든 이용하면 아래 내용에 동의한 것으로 봅니다.

제공하는 것

웹. 게임과 이 사이트의 모든 내용을 무료로 이용할 수 있습니다. 웹에는 계정도, 구매도, 구독도 없습니다.

앱. 무료로 내려받아 즐길 수 있습니다. 판과 판 사이에 광고가 나오며, 광고를 없애거나 카드 세트를 추가하는 선택 항목을 구매할 수 있습니다(아래 '앱 내 구매' 참고). 계정은 없고, 앱의 어떤 항목도 구독이 아닙니다.

게임의 일부 또는 전부를 언제든지 바꾸거나 중단할 수 있습니다. 브라우저(웹)나 기기(앱)에 저장된 진행 기록은 브라우저 데이터를 지우거나, 앱을 삭제하거나, 저장 방식을 바꾸는 경우 사라질 수 있습니다.

공정한 이용

게임은 사람이 직접 즐기는 방식으로 이용해야 합니다. 웹에서 온라인 대전 서버를 상대로 자동화된 프로그램을 돌리거나 네트워크 계층을 통해 규칙을 우회해서는 안 됩니다. 사이트가 쓰는 서비스를 공격하거나 과부하를 일으키는 행위, 앱을 변조하는 행위, 구매하지 않고 유료 항목을 얻으려는 시도도 해서는 안 됩니다. 이런 행위를 하는 접속은 차단할 수 있습니다. 앱은 컴퓨터와만 대전하며 온라인 대전 서버를 사용하지 않습니다.

광고

사이트는 Google AdSense, 앱은 Google AdMob의 광고를 보여 줍니다. 이 광고가 게임 운영 비용을 충당합니다. 어떤 광고가 나올지는 저희가 정하지 않으며, 광고를 보증하지 않습니다. 광고주가 수집하는 정보는 개인정보처리방침에 있습니다.

웹: 게임에서 얻는 동전(보상형 광고로 얻는 동전 포함)은 현금 가치가 없으며, 구매하거나 판매하거나 다른 것으로 바꿀 수 없습니다. 앱: 앱에는 동전과 보상형 광고가 없습니다. 앱에서 '광고 제거' 항목(아래)을 구매하면 판과 판 사이에 나오는 광고가 나오지 않습니다.

앱 내 구매 (앱에만 해당)

iPhone·Android 앱에서는 아래 항목을 App Store 또는 Google Play를 통해 판매합니다. 웹 버전은 아무것도 판매하지 않습니다.

• 가격. 표는 원화 기준 가격입니다. 다른 나라에서는 각 스토어가 현지 통화로 가격을 정해 결제 전에 보여 주며, 그 가격이 적용됩니다.
• 1회 구매. 각 항목은 한 번 구매하면 계속 사용합니다. 자동 갱신이나 추가 결제는 없습니다. 구매한 항목은 앱의 컴퓨터 대전에서 쓰이며 웹 버전에는 적용되지 않습니다.
• 구매 복원. 앱을 다시 설치하거나 기기를 바꾼 경우, 결제에 쓴 것과 같은 Apple 또는 Google 계정으로 로그인한 상태에서 카드 세트 화면이나 설정의 '구매 복원'을 누르면 됩니다. 스토어가 구매 내역을 앱에 알려 줍니다. 저희는 구매 기록을 보관하지 않으므로 대신 복원해 드릴 수 없습니다.
• 결제. 결제는 Apple 또는 Google이 각 사의 약관에 따라 처리합니다. 저희는 카드 정보 등 결제 정보를 받지도, 저장하지도 않습니다.
• 변경. 가격이나 판매 구성이 바뀌어도 이후 구매에만 적용됩니다.

청약철회와 환불

구매 항목은 디지털콘텐츠이며, 결제가 끝나면 곧바로 앱에서 이용할 수 있도록 제공됩니다. 「전자상거래 등에서의 소비자보호에 관한 법률」에 따라 디지털콘텐츠는 제공이 시작된 뒤에는 청약철회가 제한될 수 있습니다. 이 사실을 앱의 구매 버튼 근처(카드 세트 화면·설정)에 미리 안내합니다. 또한 구매 전에 써 볼 수 있도록 갖고 있지 않은 카드 세트는 연습 모드에서 사용할 수 있게 했습니다(카드 세트 화면의 '연습에서 써보기').

법에서 청약철회를 인정하는 경우에는 법에서 정한 기간 안에 청약철회를 할 수 있습니다. 예를 들어 체험 수단이 없는 '광고 제거'와 광고 제거가 들어 있는 '시작 패키지'는 받은 날부터 7일 이내에 청약철회를 할 수 있습니다. 항목이 제공되지 않았거나 구매할 때 안내한 내용과 다르면 받은 날부터 3개월 이내, 그 사실을 안 날 또는 알 수 있었던 날부터 30일 이내에 청약철회를 할 수 있습니다. 이 약관은 법에서 정한 소비자의 권리를 제한하지 않습니다.

법에 따라 청약철회가 인정되는 경우에는 결제한 스토어에 환불을 요청해 주십시오. iPhone에서는 Apple의 '문제 신고(Report a Problem)'(reportaproblem.apple.com), Android에서는 Google Play의 환불 요청을 이용합니다. 스토어가 거절하면 이메일로 알려 주시기 바랍니다. 처리 방법을 안내하겠습니다.

미성년자의 구매

미성년자(만 19세 미만)가 법정대리인(부모 등)의 동의 없이 항목을 구매한 경우, 미성년자 본인이나 법정대리인은 「민법」에 따라 그 구매를 취소할 수 있습니다. 취소하려면 결제한 스토어에 위 '청약철회와 환불'의 방법대로 환불을 요청하거나 이메일로 알려 주십시오. 처리 방법을 안내하겠습니다. 다만 법정대리인이 범위를 정해 쓰도록 허락한 돈(용돈 등)으로 구매했거나, 미성년자가 속임수를 써서 자신이 성년이거나 법정대리인의 동의를 받은 것처럼 상대방을 믿게 한 경우에는 취소할 수 없습니다.

저희가 약속하지 않는 것

사이트와 앱은 있는 그대로 제공됩니다. 특정 시점에 이용할 수 있다는 것, 웹 온라인 대전에서 상대를 항상 찾을 수 있다는 것, 저장된 진행 기록이 유지된다는 것을 약속하지 않습니다. 법이 허용하는 범위에서, 사이트나 앱을 이용하며 생긴 손해에 대해 책임지지 않습니다. 다만 소비자 보호 관련 법령이 정한 소비자의 권리는 제한되지 않습니다.

권리의 귀속

게임, 규칙 설명, 그림, 이 사이트의 글은 아래 운영 주체에 속합니다. 가위바위보 자체는 전해 내려오는 놀이로 누구의 것도 아닙니다. Lizard Spock 페이지에서 설명하는 다섯 가지 손 모양 변형은 Sam Kass와 Karen Bryla가 만들었으며, 저희는 규칙을 설명할 뿐 권리를 주장하지 않습니다.

준거법과 관할

이 약관은 대한민국 법을 따르며, 분쟁이 생기면 관계 법령(민사소송법·전자상거래법)에 따른 관할 법원이 맡습니다.
